We discover the main historical park and the hidden gems of Ayutthaya by bicycle. Using local back roads, our experienced guide will help you avoid the traffic, making you feel much safer and allowing you to enjoy the ride.

After a simple bike fitting, we walk to see the largest reclining Buddha in Ayutthaya at Wat Lokayasutha. After an explanation and a brief historical overview, we start riding to the ancient Wat Phu Khao Thong, an iconic landmark known as the Golden Mount. This is one of Ayutthaya’s most unusual temples—its towering white chedi was originally begun by the Burmese during their occupation in 1569, left unfinished, and later completed by Thai kings in a Thai style atop the original Burmese base. The result is a uniquely hybrid structure that literally embodies the conflict between the two kingdoms. It rises approximately 50 metres and offers the best panoramic views in Ayutthaya from its upper platform.

After taking in the great viewpoint, we continue to Wat Na Phra Men, a 15th-century temple from the Ayutthaya period that survived the conflict, giving you a glimpse of authentic Ayutthaya architecture.

We continue to Wat Mahathat, home to the iconic Buddha head entwined within tree roots. Then we ride through the Historical Park to the former Royal Palace area, adjacent to Wat Phra Si Sanphet, stopping for photos and historical context before concluding our ride.

The tour is relaxed with plenty of time for photos, questions, and experiencing Ayutthaya beyond the usual tourist attractions.
